The reset button has been pushed and we find ourselves once again, at the beginning

Like many of you I am certain, I have been thinking about a lot of things lately. This time of year seems to really paint the picture of reflection.  My thoughts have ranged from expectation, purpose, direction, you know the light afternoon thought or two.

However; for some reason during my thoughts as of late it seem as if someone has hit the reset button and I am suddenly brought abruptly back to the beginning.

So the beginning is where I will go.  I think that the younger generation of today’s world has it both good and bad.  The good part is they are coming in vibrating at a higher vibration then we ever did.  They are not losing this vibration either.  They are carrying with them an understanding that so many of us have had to work so hard to arrive at. This really is their gift.  But with this gift comes the pain, the pain of being misunderstood.

They are the in-between generation so to speak.  The ground work that has been laid in the holistic health and New Aged sections of society are leaps and bounds ahead of the generations before us, and yet, we are still seemingly in the dark.  Now this is not a negative post about the lack of information or acceptance just an observation.

We are headed in the right direction, every day more and more ground work is laid and the more enlightened we all become.

So many of our youth are coming in extremely empathic, and have no way of knowing how to deal with this.  Empathy was a word I remember learning in an Creative Writing class when I was in 9th grade.  I remember hearing the word for the first time and being completely drawn to it.  It made sense to me, I had a word to put to how I felt so much of the time.

 em·pa·thy

ˈempəTHē/
noun
  1. the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

People who are empathic feel the feelings of another.  They don’t always understand that the feeling or emotion is not theirs and this can cause great distress.  The psychic abilities of our children are at such advanced levels that they are not as easily “programmed” out of them as they were out of us.  This is where the pain can come in.

Not understanding what is yours and what is someone elses can cause a lot of anxiety, stress and depression.  Not understanding why one minute your happy and the next you are crying your eyes out, can cause anyone to feel out of control.  When you are hearing voices in your head or thoughts, well it can be pretty overwhelming. Add to the mix, the ease of self diagnosis by way of the internet, and you suddenly are looking at some pretty scary words such as Bi Polar and Schizophrenia as well as many others. Afraid of what your peers or family will think, you suddenly begin to hide and isolate yourself from the world.

So what is the answer?  Well it is not as easy as take this pill and call me in the morning.  It starts with that silly word “meditation”.  Whatever meditation looks like to you.  Basically you need to find a way to sit (walk, draw, sing, dance) and allow everything else to drift away.  For a few moments (to start) leading up to minutes a day you need to consciously release everything that your thinking, worrying and carrying with you.  I have talked about running energy and releasing in previous blogs, here is a link to one of them.  I also have a short video on my FB page.  But why this is so important is, you need to remember who you are.  Understand what your energy feels like so you will be able to differentiate what are your feelings and emotions from that of someone else.

I am going to do a series of blogs on what I will call The Beginning Series.  The purpose will be to start with some of the basics of tapping into your intuitive life.

Keep an eye out for them.  Until next time, Namaste~
